Manchester Show Rescheduled + Fishing For Luckies in Nottingham

By Kris | December 27, 2016

The Wildhearts were sorry to have to cancel the final show of the tour in Manchester, as Ginger was suffering from a serious stomach bug. He soldiered on through the previous show in London, but had to throw in the towel after 20 minutes of the Manchester Hey! Hello! set. See the video below for Ginger’s on-stage apology at the time.

The Manchester show was immediately rescheduled for 26th January. Original tickets are still valid, additional tickets are on-sale at: https://thewildhearts.probitymerch.com/listings/. Refunds are available until 10th January from point of purchase for anyone who cannot make it to the rescheduled show.

For people travelling significant distance to the rescheduled show, the kind folks in Ginger’s Associated Secret Society are collecting donations to help people with travel costs, and to link people up with floors to crash on etc. See Moshville for full details.

An additional ‘Fishing For Luckies’ show has been announced for Friday 27th January at Nottingham Rock City, prior to a Japanese ‘Fishing For Luckies’ show on 31st January at Tsutaya O-East in Tokyo.

The Wildhearts announce December Tour

By Kris | September 21, 2016

The Wildhearts, with the line up of Ginger and CJ on guitars and vocals, bassist Jon Poole and Ritch Battersby on drums, are supported by Danny McCormack’s new band The Main Grains and Dirt Box Disco for the first 3 shows. The Manchester show will see Hey! Hello! in place of Dirt Box Disco and Ginger’s Annual Birthday Bash in London features a formidable seven bands.

On top of this Danny will be joining The Wildhearts each night for a few songs on the encore.

Full dates are:
Wed 14th – Glasgow O2 ABC – w/ Dirt Box Disco & The Main Grains
Thur 15th – Newcastle Riverside – w/ Dirt Box Disco & The Main Grains
Fri 16th – Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall – w/ Dirt Box Disco & The Main Grains
Sat 17th – London O2 Forum – w/ 7 band bill inc. Dirt Box Disco, Hey! Hello! and The Main Grains
Sun 18th – Manchester Ritz – w/ Hey! Hello! & The Main Grains

Tickets go on general sale on Friday 23rd at 9.00am.

These shows have led Ginger to exclaim…

“It’s going to be another very messy Xmas, with me and the lads playing non-stop party songs from throughout our career. And I’m especially looking forward to sharing a stage with Danny again. These shows will be a celebration of life, and it brings together two people who should be dead by now. The Birthday Bash is particularly insane this year, featuring a seven band bill.

All in all, it’s gonna be a cool yule.

Ginger Birthday Show and December Hey! Hello! Tour Postponed

By Kris | December 8, 2015

It is with regret that we have to announce the postponement of the Ginger Birthday Show on December 17th and the upcoming Hey! Hello! UK tour.

The shows have been postponed due to Ginger being clinically diagnosed with acute depression and the shows are currently being rescheduled for 2016.

Hey! Hello! offer their “sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to anyone who was intending to travel to these December shows.” and Ginger’s official statement reads…

‘Gutted to have to postpone the Hey! Hello! tour, but the band have been super supportive and I’m very proud to part of this beautiful bunch.

I’m gutted to miss seeing Dirt Box Disco play too, as they’ve recently become my favourite band and I hope they’ll join us for the rescheduled dates in 2016.

But mostly I’ve been blown away by the fans response. I’m very lucky to have such supportive people in my life. Thank you for being so kind with your concern.

We’ll get this beat, and I’ll see you next year when I feel better.

Have a cool yule, y’all.

Gx’

The postponed London show at the O2 Forum on December 17th has been rescheduled as ‘The Ginger Wildheart Show’ at the same venue on April 1st 2016 and tickets are available from Ticketmaster.

Original tickets remain valid and transferable. Refunds are available from point of purchase if necessary.

Pledge Update

By Ginger | August 13, 2015

Dear Everyone,

The closing date of the current Songs & Words PledgeMusic campaign has been extended and will officially be October 27th (not November 27th as previously announced on Pledge).

That’s it. No more. The train will have left the station along with the last horse bolting and the fat lady singing. It will be an ex-Pledge campaign. It will cease to be.

I notice that it has already been generously extended, which is a lovely idea – keeping Pledge campaigns going on forever n’ that, hey I hate saying goodbye too. The fact of the matter is that we won’t be saying “goodbye”, as much as “hang on a tic” …with another Pledge campaign following hot on the heels of this S&W one.

I won’t say too much about the new campaign, apart from this:

It launches on November 9th.

It is unlike anything I’ve ever done with Pledge.

It won’t be dependent on reaching 100%.

It will last a very long time.

Curious? Just hang tight until September, when all will be fully revealed like a top quality stripper.

Until then, thank you for making the Songs & Words campaign the most exciting and surprising one of them all.

Hey, I wrote a bloody book!

Gx
