Ginger Q

Will the Wildhearts play any songs from Endless Nameless on the new tour?
Pete

A

I would like to play URGE, as it is one of the few songs on that album that works without the EN noise factor.

Q

I remember a while ago you were talking about cutting your dreads off for charity... still planning on doing that??
Zo

A

Absolutely. But first we need to set up the charity properly, with the right infrastructure and personnel. We have made a lot of ground so far and would love to announce something this year.

Q

A giant asteroid is about to bomb humankind out of existence. The Wildhearts start their last ever gig, 15 minutes before impact. What's the setlist?
Schock Smile

A

'Rooting For The Bad Guy' and 'Suckerpunch'.

Q

The extended outro to 'Can't drink you pretty' is as awesome as it is unexpected - What inspired it, was it your idea or did one of the other guys come up with it?
Kris

A

When I was writing the song I just naturally started playing all my favourite songs from the past featuring that swing beat. I don't write much in a swing beat so there was a lot of stuff that came as unexpected to me as I hope it did the listener.

Q

Were you really in a 2004 film 'Atlantic City Serenade' as Drunk #2 as IMDB.com say you are? Or has someone just been messing about with the cast list.
Will

A

I have absolutely no idea what this is, but it's definitely not me... unless someone filmed me in secret while I was propped up at a bar somewhere.

Q

Is that really you singing on World Of Filth? If so, how do you manage to sing such deep notes? Regardless of whether it is you on not, do you have any plans to record an album in the country 'n' western style that *doesn't* feature such offensive lyrics? Would be good, I reckon.
Chris J

A

No, it's Howling Willie Cunt. Me and Scott have talked about making a country album together for years, a lot of the songs are even written, so hopefully we'll see that appear sometime in the future.

Q

Is your solo career on hold now that The Wildhearts are back or will you still be recording and touring, especially with a Sonic Circus style lineup.

Are there any plans for you to appear on Never Mind The Buzzcocks with Phill J?
Geordie Russell

A

I'll be recording a new solo album starting in June. It seems traditional to release one every January.

I'd love the Sonic Circus to record together when everyone's schedules align.

If Phil asked me to do Never Mind The Buzzcocks of course I'd do it.

Q

Any chance you and the fabulous Willie Dowling will ever write and record an album together?? Man, that would be bloody amazing...
Jayvee

A

I've wanted to write and record songs with Willie since the day I met him, a very very long time ago. Who knows if it will ever happen, but if it did it would be a dream come true for me.

Q

What do you think of Glen Roeder?

And if the Toon made the UEFA cup final, would you consider writing a song for the black and white army?
Ben Wright

A

I think he's doing a great job but it would be better for the team (and the supporters) to have Shearer working alongside him.

Of course I'd write a song for the toon, cup finals or no cup finals.

Q

K Ginger, you've been placed on trial for crimes against rock n' roll! The jury sentences you to death. Before they flick the switch however you are allowed to listen to one last album, eat one last meal of your choice, have one final drink and then sleep with any girl in the world (He's quite a nice judge I suppose!). What would you choose for each?
Sonic Shake

A

Album: 'So Divided' by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead (I recently fell madly in love with it)
Meal: Steak and red wine.
Drink: A pint of Magners with tons of ice.
Girl: Diora Baird

Q

Where in the world have you not played yet and would most like to do so?
Ben Wright

A

I would LOVE to play Brazil and Australia.

Q

There's a gun at your head: You have to choose one of the following:
Kiss or the New York Dolls?
Drummers or bass players?
Mick Jagger or John Lennon?
Shearer or Supermac?
Brown or white bread?
Grimsby or Hastings?
Supermodels or girls in bands?
Being stuck on a holiday with Jade Goody for a month or having to communicate for an entire year through the medium of contemporary dance?
Ben Wright

A

Kiss
Drummers
John Lennon
Shearer
White Bread
Hastings
Girls In General
Dancing....Any Style!

Q

Does 'Random' really only have one bollock?
Ben Walton

A

Yes, but it's split into two.

Q

Looking at the cover of Earth Vs. make me think that you'd find that crappy I'm A Celebrity show a cinch. Have you ever been asked about appearing on a "celebrity/reality" show?
Geordie Russell

A

Never been asked, which makes it all the more convenient to say no.

Q

Less Than Jake are doing 6 one night only shows in London - playing a different album each night in its entirety with b-sides, rarities etc...

Would you ever consider doing this? It might be the only way I will get to hear Fugazi Do The Fake & Push live!!
Silver Sparky 5

A

We've thought about it but it's so difficult to arrange that I'm not sure we'd ever do it.

Q

Any plans to release the promo videos from 2001 onwards on dvd?

Will the forthcoming new album have a bonus dvd with it? Seems most cds do these days. Such as a making of the album documentary.

When can we expect a release of the WH documentary dvd that's being mentioned a few times in the past?

Finally, on the forthcoming tour. Any plans to do some signing sessions or mini acoustic gigs on the day of the gigs.
Andy

A

The promo videos aren't our property... yet.

The album will have no free DVD but there will be a documentary released at some point in the near future, hopefully Xmas.

On signing sessions or acoustic gigs... absolutely!
