Beer For Breakfast is an amzing song!
How cool would it be for this song to appear in the setlist for the tour. I can just picture a packed out crowd screaming "AND A BIG FAT JOINT" at the top of their lungs! :D

'Beer For Breakfast' is currently rocking my nuts right off...

Ah, s'not me. Yer need to thank Andy B for doing the hosting.

There's other stuff Ginger related on his site :

Various interviews

Recent VDC 6music interview

I'm sure if he's on here, he'll let you know of other stuff he's got?

A bit behind on all this forum malarkey, so I've only just read this!
You really need to thank the guy Stephen Tait who put his own hard-earned green stuff up to get the recordings from eBay. I just offered to help him share them with people, as that's what he wanted to do. Top bloke.

My site has assorted random stuff on it, and none of it in any real order. I plan to do something about that at some point (hopefully soon), so when I do, I'll put something on here. In the mean time, there's a Total Rock interview, an XFM interview, and an album review on XFM (thanks to Saliya Cooray) for your listening pleasure!

I've got :-

Beer For Breakfast

I woke up on the couch. Sure it’s late but I’ve forgotten
I got a pain, kind of everywhere from top to bottom
A big chunk out of yesterday I can’t picture
No feeling like a hangover when it hits ya
I got the sick spins, shits, sweats, the whole potato
I don’t know which way to point at the urinater
Better be a ‘praise be’ for beer as a medicine
Tastes good’ll put you back upon your feet again

Meantime, I can’t stop staring out the window
Inside a
Can’t stop
Won’t you fix me up a beer for breakfast

Eureka, I believe I feel a little better
I feel better than an Eskimo inside a sweater
Even better than Kali after Shiva met her
And that’s good with a capital letter

Meantime, I can’t stop staring out the window

Can’t stop
Won’t you fix me up a beer for breakfast

A rolled dollar and a beer for breakfast
A rolled dollar and a beer for breakfast
A rolled dollar and a beer for breakfast
A rolled dollar and a…

BIG FAT JOINT

Na na, na na nana nana
Na na, na na nana nana
Na na, na na nana nana
Na na, na na nana nana
Na na, na na nana nana

Na na, na na nana nana
Won’t you fix me up a beer for breakfast

Buggered if I know what the chorus is though, anyone care to fill in the blanks... :?

I hear " Cant stop staring at the red line, Wrapped up tight inside a beaver" for the second line of the chorus, and "Its a fucking..." something for the third line, but Im even less sure about that one.

Hmmmm, I always thought that was:

"I woke up on the couch, shoes laid where I forgot 'em"

Arrrggghh! Ginger write up some lyrics! Your minions need you.

Christ knows. I just put in something that vaguely made sense and sounded a bit like it fitted. I make no claims for the accuracy or validity of any of it.

That show was so funny. As was Harry's attempt at rocking. The major label bucks blown on that tinny late 90's act make Albert Luque seem like a shrewd bit of business....

In case you didn't know, they came from a master that was sold on eBay from the studio that Ginger was using at the time - it's all highly legally dubious as to who actually owns them.

The guy who won them (not that cheaply either) did so to stop them either being stuck on cd's and sold off or the tapes wiped. He said he'd make them available for free download - and did just that.

Weren't there a whole lot more of them, with more material than just those tracks? Like possible SG5 demos and the songs Ginger wrote for Alice Cooper? If so, why haven't we as a fan base made more of an effort to get this stuff?

*nips back up the thread for a recap...*

Ah, you'll have to forgive me as it was a while ago, but I think the "I think this is all we'll get" was in reply to the guy asking whether there was any chance of them being recorded properly and released.

I'm not sure what happened to the others, I think most of them were pulled after Ginger/'s management got wind of the auctions. One or two are out there, as a few people have lyric sheets although I think they got mixed up as they don't tend to match what's supposed to be on the reels (Which is possibly the reason there aren't more online: People don't have access to reel-to-reels much any more).
