Surprised about the reference to Tyla, however.

I would dearly love to see E_I play Download, they would be a must see, but I was starting to think that I would never see The Yo-Yos. So I'm dead pleased by the news.

Aaaaaand they're on the poster. Same day as Ginger. Similar times by the look, probably a bit later. I'll spend Friday finding the most efficient way of getting from the second stage to the pepsi stage.

And I hope that Ginger's Twitter comment proves unfounded.

It looks at the moment like the YoYo's will be on pretty much straight after Ginger but on the 3rd stage ( Ginger on 2nd stage) so yeah it looks like as soon as Ginger's set ends there will be a huge rush over to the 3rd stage. Im sure the organiser is a wildhearts fan so i cant imagine him having them both clashing, he should know that wildhearts fans will want to see both bands.
Ive waited 12 years to see the YoYos so this has just topped off what was already the best line up in Download's history for me!

I'm with Ginger on this (though I don't know any of the personal history between them). Though I quite like the Yo-Yos album, given Danny's history I don't think it's the wisest idea anyone's ever had. Mind you, lots of people have been through that kind of shit and come out the other side alright, I hope he's one of them.

Anyone know what Ginger was getting at with that comment? I must admit I know very little about Exit International and Hawk Eyes and hardly anything about Tyla either so I don't know who would deserve a spot at download out of any of them. I assume he feels those two bands are harder working and more deserving maybe?

what is g's problem with Tyla? Granted it would be nice to see bands like Hawkeyes and Exit International on the bill but why pick fault with Tyla playing. Given the other bands on the bill ( L.A, Quireboys and especially GINGER WILDHEART) i would have though he would fit right in? and there are feckin 100s of bands on the bill?
