The Top Ten Great Lost 90s Brit Rock Albums

A few Wildhearts-related bands (and general awesomeness) in this list, even if I do say so myself, also check out the 8tracks mix at the bottom. And don't tell me Straw weren't awesome... :eeek:

Cheers, that reminded me to pick up a copy of We May Be Skinny and Wirey, never got round to getting that album but always liked Mrs Playing Dead and Will You Still Care.
Or you make some kind of robot to get us help, or a homing device, or build a new battery..

That was a good read. Sad news about the singer from Cay though, I have vague recollections of seeing them support 3CR in London.
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

Some great stuff there - that's my era too. I too was a 6th form Symposium/3CR/Dogdrill/Baby Chaos fan. That Baby Chaos album especially is just brilliant, one of the best albums of that decade.
Reminds me I really should buy more Silver Sun.
Been listening to lots of Groop Dogdrill again recently, 'cos of the Black Spiders connection. The Dogdrill wiki is here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groop_Dogdrill I heard one of them is a bus driver now but haven't found anything to back that up. Might be just one of those rumours, like Chad out of Mansun being a paramedic.

Does anybody know if the Groop Dogdrill demos from 2001 mentioned on Wikipedia ever surfaced?

I've been having a hunt around (off sick today so time on my hands) and although I can't seem to find much more reference to the demos there is a song called 'She is a Pistol' on youtube and myspace:

The youtube vid describes it as a lost classic, I'm guessing it's one of the ones from 2001 that never got released. Would like to know if there are any more out there.

In a similar vein, does anybody remember Nightnurse? Charlotte Hatherley, once of Ash, used to be a member which may be their only claim to nowhere-near fame. Anyway, there was talk of an album from the main man, Ellyot Dragon. Just wondering if anyone knew if anything came of it?

If my recollection is correct, the story was in Kerrang! Believe it was their original drummer who was struggling to pay the bills after the onset of fatherhood.
