Ginger to play Download Festival (Twice!)
*New Stage Time*

By Ean | May 31, 2010

Well guys, it looks like the show of support to the Download organisers paid off!

As well as the already scheduled appearance with Michael Monroe on Saturday 12th, Ginger is to headline the Jägermeister acoustic stage on Sunday 13th June.

Ginger will be hitting the stage at 7.20pm – accompanied by Billy Morrison, Chris Catalyst, Jase Edwards and Rich Jones (so far…) – for a half hour set of Wildhearts songs that he’s determined will be “the loudest, most OTT acoustic gig ever, or we will have failed. And we don’t fail. Right?”

So you’ve heard the man: bring your best singing voices and expect mayhem and surprises!

Tickets and more information are available from the Download website.

Hey guys, according to the times posted on the DL site Ginger wont hit the stage till 20 past 7… Is that right? Id be gutted to miss any of the set…

@Rich: I’d have thought that the DL stage times would be pretty accurate. Indeed, Ginger’s just tweeted that it’s now a 19.20 stage time.

It’s quite likely that times will be adjusted right up until the day though – and there’s a good chance things will be running late by the time Ginger hits the stage anyway, as is the way of live shows – so I’d keep an eye on the Download site.

If you’re still not sure on the day, check the tent, they’ll likely have a running order posted somewhere.

Why did they have to change the stage times! We can’t see Ginger now because of a clash :-(. Will check out the Michael Monroe set on Sat, but won’t be the same…

I saw Ginger at the acoustic stage! Sang into the mic for the first Geordie in Wonderland chorus. My Download 2010 best moment!

The download gig was amazing – Definately the best gig of the day, and my favourite stage headliner!

Never before have I been stood outside in the pouring rain totally piss wet through, cold, knackered and trying to drink a beer that was filling with rain – and after the first song – so fucking happy to be there! 🙂

Totally agree “Guitarmageddon” was just fantastic. Piss-wet through, but loved every minute.
