Congratulations to everyone who managed to get tickets for Ginger’s Birthday gig, and commiserations to those who will miss out because the show has now sold out.

Preparations are already well under way, and It’s looking to be pretty special. No clues though: you’ll just have to wait and see what’s planned.

The last birthday show sold out within weeks – and for good reason. This is a one of a kind show.

Indeed, this one’s nearly sold out now too. So if you don’t want to miss out, get in quick and grab your tickets from Ticketweb.

Limited to just 50 units Worldwide, this looks awesome whether you decide to ride it or hang it on the wall. For those of you who intend to ride it, the deck is 7.75” wide, in 7-ply laminated Canadian Maple manufactured to professional quality.

The deck is available to pre-order now, exclusively via the webstore – on a first come, first served basis – at £50 each, and will ship week commencing Monday 13th September.

Also, don’t forget… The Wildhearts classic Smiley Bones Tee and metal Smiley Bones lapel badge are both now available at the webstore. And, if that’s not enough, we are having a mighty SALE on many of the older items as we clear the way for new lines of merchandise. We finally see the return of the classic Smiley Bones in T-shirt form and, after scores of requests and failed chases around eBay, we also have the Smiley Bones metal lapel badge back. This is a 2” deep badge that comes with 2 spikes with butterfly clutches so ideal for attaching to thick garments such as leather jackets!

The next day in a welcome diversion from the unexpected rain, Ginger and 8 other acoustic guitar wielders set about rousing the crowd with a succession of Wildhearts classics in a format dubbed ‘guitarmageddeon’. The crowd was in fine voice and Ginger commented afterwards on Twitter: “Back from Download. Had WAAYYY too much fun. Acoustic set was an AMAZING experience. Thank you for being so wonderful”

As well as the already scheduled appearance with Michael Monroe on Saturday 12th, Ginger is to headline the Jägermeister acoustic stage on Sunday 13th June.

Ginger will be hitting the stage at 7.20pm – accompanied by Billy Morrison, Chris Catalyst, Jase Edwards and Rich Jones (so far…) – for a half hour set of Wildhearts songs that he’s determined will be “the loudest, most OTT acoustic gig ever, or we will have failed. And we don’t fail. Right?”

So you’ve heard the man: bring your best singing voices and expect mayhem and surprises!

Ginger recently joined up with Michael Monroe (Hanoi Rocks), to play with with him in his new project, along with Sami Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls), Steve Conte (New York Dolls, Willy DeVille) and Karl Rockfist (Chelsea Smiles, Danzig).

Me? I’m just loving my little guitar/side man vacation after 20 years of front man/vocal duties. Everyone deserves a holiday, right?”
