Movember

Postby Egg4Goff » 2nd Nov 11, 10:55

I'm taking part in the Movember campaign to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues.

For those who don't know much about it check out this link http://uk.movember.com/about/. Guys around the world grow moustaches of varying quality and sillyness in order to get people talking about some of the issues men are only too happy to ignore and hopefully raise some vital funds.

It would be good to hear from anyone else who is getting involved with this as I'm sure there'll be some. It's still not too late to get involved if you haven't thought about it yet.

Also, if anyone feels so inclined you can visit my Mo Space page http://mobro.co/GeoffMason and donate to the cause, it can all be done via the site so is really easy.

Good shout - my second year, loads of fun. My tag at Movember is Mo-Jon

lost jonny - Good to hear from another Mo Bro.
How did it go last year? I checked out your page but no pics of last year's effort.

I've updated my page with my 1 week mo.

Our team got a stack of cash via a lot of work donations, but no bugger bothered with photos. I'm trying to keep my page up to date with snaps, but again the others are a bit slack. Movember is a really good crack - may keep my Mo for HRH but the ole lady thinks I'd be better auditioning for the Village People... Will check you page later.

We're having a similar issue with people not updating photos in our team. Then you have a wander along to their office and see why they aren't updating. Some efforts are genuinely piss poor. However, they're still getting people talking and that's the whole point.

It is a really good laugh though and I've already started planning on how to make it a much bigger deal within the company next year.

Cheers for the donation (I've recipocated) - much appreciated.

My pleasure - I'm getting plenty of sponsorship but thought it was daft to sposnor myself so thought I'd sponsor someone with immaculate musical taste... It is a good crak but perhaps if our teams are so lame we need a WH team next year?

Don't get me wrong - some of my team are outstripping my donations so far - they could just do with a few more updates.

I'm very tempted though at splintering off and doing a WH team. We'll have to see how many would be interested as two of us alone might be a bit shameful.

Here's my two week update:

Excellent, current snaps up on my MoSpace page too. The obvious move would be to get a celebrity Mo in the WH team...

Good plan. I would suggest CJ as the bald head and Mo look is a good one.

Agreed, but we also need the Random element...
