That certainly puts a knot in the stomach, but can't believe that that's how reality will play out.
cause the chances are good that it wont let you down, like maybe drinking with Keith, or seeing Dolly Parton's tits...

Great interview, honest as usual but gutted to read 'permanent hiatus'. Lets hope Ginger keeps on rockin' and who know what the future will throw up. :(

The Wildhearts may well be on full-time hiatus – it’s certainly unlikely that we’ll do anything as a band for a long, long time

That isn't good reading :wtf:

Too right. I'm gutted no WH. They seemed to be on a good roll as well with the White Album and Chutzpah! Here's hoping the lads will return one day.

Joking aside, I remember vaguely a quote from Ginger saying he couldn't imagine The Wildhearts without Scott Sorry, evidently he's had something he needs to focus on family-wise, and full respect to him for putting family first if that's the case.

It may be a bit galling to read that Wildhearts are on 'indefinite hiatus' but the future can throw an indefinite number of surprises at us too...

Plus we will have the Ginger WIldheart Band to look forward to. They may became a force in their own right and will have the Wildhearts back catalogue to draw from when playing live.
Or you make some kind of robot to get us help, or a homing device, or build a new battery..

Whilst being upset that "The Wildhearts" aren't going to be around for a while anything Ginger does personally or writes for others tends to have a Wildhearts vibe about it. With Ginger stating that 2011 is going to be manic for him I can't wait for the new year.
Plus whenever he does a live solo gig there will bound to be Wildhearts stuff in the set list

FUCK!!!

I didnt know that the Wildhearts would be no more!!!

I listened to an interview with Ginger about 6-9 months ago and he said he would be with MM for a while, release a solo album then aim to get a new Wildhearts album out for 2012

I did wonder why there were no other Wildheart members at the Birthday gig this year though?

Oh well. How dissapointing. But I can see why.

Chutzpah was their best album in years and flopped sales wise. Maybe Ginger thinks if that album cant put them back where he thinks they belong then nothing will, despite the amazing reviews it got.

Fucking shame.

:(

there's obviously something going on in the WH camp that none of us knows anything about.
I know that everyone here hopes the hiatus does NOT become permanent.

I love Ginger's solo material and can't wait for a new cd in 2011! MM on the other hand... I'll have to hear if Ginger wrote songs to fit that band, or whether it sounds like Ginger material with a different lead vocalist. That, I would be interested in hearing, but unlike Ginger, I was never fond of Hanoi Rocks and him being apart of the MM band didn't change that opinion.

I'm just glad that a true new solo Ginger project is in the works and will be praying for an xmas miracle that by this time next year, The Wildhearts are back together doing holiday shows with plans for recording and releasing new music in 2012.

I believe without a doubt that this is not the end of our beloved Wildhearts;
just "a break in the weather"!
Rooting 4 THE WILDHEARTS!!!
