So Into You acoustic?

Postby littlekitty » 31st Mar 10, 11:28

Hi,
Bit of an odd request - getting married next year and the WH song So Into You means a lot to us, so much so that we want it as our first dance song.
Has anyone ever come across an acoustic version? Thought that might be a little more appropriate and so the old dears don't faint......... :D

Cheers

The only acoustic versions in existance are live versions as far as I know.
Not sent from my fucking iphone.

Aye, there's a version on Potatoes And You, but it's a bit rough and ready (there's a fair bit of what could be generously described as 'audience participation') and it segues through large chunks of Weekend and News Of The World during the middle 8.

Go for the full electric version and stuff the old dears!!!
Congrats dude - you have a 'wife to be' that accepts The Wildhearts for the first dance. There's plenty of other slightly more appropriate tunes if you can agree on one.

Me and MrsVanRad had 'To Love Somebody' a Bee Gees song covered by SG5 on the Japanese version of Black Leather Mojo.

Good luck with your nuptials.

Possibly a little presumptuous, especially considering LittleKitty's name....

I think the single version of SIY is slightly less hard hitting than the album version, but also a little less melodic.

Maybe we should all club together our collective talents and do a board acoustic version.....

Lol, I am indeed a female! First saw the Wildhearts at 15 and never looked back. My other half became a fan after meeting me, heh heh - I claim all the credit!
Thanks for the replies and suggestions, maybe we will stick with the single version and bop like crazy. Trying to book an AC/DC tribute band for the reception too, muah hah haaaah!

Maybe I'll email Ginger and see if he fancies nipping into the studio to record a wee version as a wedding present......lmao!

You'll have to get the AccaDacca tribute band to knock out a cover. It's only got about 5 chords in it. :)

Congrats to you both. Me and the missus had Inside Out for the first dance, and she walked up the aisle to Everlone.
My suggestion of Lake of Piss was turned down.

Ask someone to play it at the wedding - it's a really easy song to play.

Even I can play it, and my band usually don't let me near anywhere near a guitar in rehearsal.

Hope you have a great wedding by the way

Lovely idea, hope you can get something sorted.

We had the manics cover version of 'Can't take my eyes off you' for our first dance because I couldn't talk Mr P into having any Wildhearts. Worked well for the purpose!

Have a great day :D

seems to be wedding-season... congratulations and good luck to all of you. 8-)

well, i get married in a few weeks as well
sadly there aren't too many wildhearts-songs that would fit, are there?
i'll try and convince my lady to at least dance with me to 'one love, one life, one girl'. we'll have to practice that a lot as i'm a lousy dancer
does anyone have other suggestions what nice tunes might be good for a wedding?
