Rock Radio did an interview with the boys and played some acoustic songs they played when in the studio but have never known them to play and songs ordinarily.

I know Radio 6 have played them on rare occasions.
Too many fucking bubbles man!

I heard that mention of Danny - because the DJ pointed out that the guy who picked those songs shared the name of the Wildhearts bass player. Not sure if he actually knew Danny hasn't been in the band for many years, or even that the Wildhearts are back again. That was only the second time I've ever heard the Wildhearts even mentioned on the station - never heard them played even though they have just started playing the much inferior (and quite inappropriate for the station) Hovercraft Pirates.

TotalRock are the best station I know for playing the Wildhearts and will often play requests for them. But as they are online only there is probably hardly anyone listening.

I've had DAB radios for about 18 months now and listen all day at work and at home at weekends - and I've still not heard the Wildhearts on DAB even once.

Bruce Dickinson played Zeen Requiem on his 6Music rock show the other week. That's about it...

To be fair Bruce plays some good stuff. Wildhearts get played at least once every 3-4 shows, plus he played Eureka Machines a couple of weeks back.

Interesting. Was talking to a guy called Danny McCormick about playing bass for us - and we supported Hovercraft Pirates a couple of months back.

I wonder if it was the same guy requesting them. I seem to recall he did say he had played in a recording session with them.

Don Letts played Something Weird... and Pump it Up from Anarchic Airwaves on BBC6 Music a couple of weeks ago. Possibly the first airing Something Weird has ever had on the beeb!

I've also heard Gideon Coe and Chris Hawkins play Wildhearts songs on BBC6 in the past.
