We have a song about a chick and in one verse she is referred to as a wild heart and the second verse describing sex with her landmine and pantomime is used

Interesting topic this, thought i'd wade in as I've always been proud to wear my 'Hearts influences on my sleave, rather unashamedly at times.

Does your band sound like the Wildhearts?

Yup, but not all the time tho. we have some songs that sound nothing like them. I do get a bit of a tingle when someone says we sound like them after a gig. My vocals don't really sound like Ginger's tho.

Have the Wildhearts/Ginger been a big influence on your songwriting?

Massively so. When I was 17 I was writing more metally stuff until I heard The 'Hearts and A,P & S and thought 'this is the kind of stuff I want to play' and I've never looked back.

Which of your songs sounds most like the Wildhearts?

The earlier stuff I wrote on my own is the stuff that sounds most like The 'Hearts, probably a song off out latest release (which is called Inglorious, so that should tell you something) called 'Jasper & Garlick' which is very Gingerish.

Are the other members of your band into the WIldhearts?

Yes, but not as much as me. My drummer has just got into them off the back of Chutzpah

Is it difficult not to "rip -off" Ginger/WH songs?

Not at all, if something in one of our songs sounds like that it's a conscious decision.

Have you ever included a nod (lyrical or musically) to the Wildhearts?

Indeed, several in fact including mentioning the band by name and the latest song we've done has the line 'Same old night only the shoes have changed' in it.
