Earth Vs Anniversary Gig - DVD

Postby AndyRoo » 3rd Feb 09, 20:08

Any news on when / if this will be seeing the light of day? It didn't take long for the bootleg copy to get in circulation which I would have thoguht that would have been an insentive to get it officially released. Maybe they're awaiting for the next 'big' anniversary to release it?!

ive got no idea who the production company is who made it

it may be nick, who made the c-bomb video amongst other live stuff.

If it is, the guy has a very fast turn around time, so it is most likely done and waiting to be approved/released

though if it is still in source material (i.e dv tape) I wouldnt mind having a bash at editing it, though i suppose i should wait for my editors degree to be finalised eh????

it was indeed Nick Small and his GobTV production company

It took him about 7 months to turnarround the New Flesh vid (featuring mua 8) ) with some technical difficulties so I wouldnt expect a big project like this anytime soon. If that is reflected in the quality I will happily wait as long as it takes

I spoke to Nick briefly at the Manchester Xmess gig and he said the filming went "really well" which dosent solve much but he did say my interview in the que came out and would be on the dvd 8) 8) yay me
Interviewer - "So whats the secret of your longevity?"
Ginger - "Splitting up!"

"Bernard, its hot in the worm."

He managed to get most of the Download crowd in shot. I wouldn't be worried, I'm sure it will be ace. Looking forward to it, whenever it's ready. :D

I am also eagerly awaiting this release, I attended the Hellsinki 15th Anniversary show.

They filmed there also, so it would be nice to see some of the Scandinavian footage as extras on the DVD 8)

Ginger mentiond that now the band have changed management they no longer own the footage so its unlikely it will ever see the light of day

In that case, I don't suppose anyone here bought the bootleg on ebay and would be willing to share it.....????

The gig was so heavily beset with technical problems that I think making a DVD of a different show (even if it's not an "Earth Vs" one) would be preferable anyway...

I reckon if they're ever going to release a dvd other than the Live in the Studio jobby Id love to see it in the style of late 80's/early 90's rocks where they had tons of tour footage from various shows, them just pissing about, the music videos, behind the scenes music video, one on one interviews with the band. If they ever did that I get the feeling it would be one of the silliest dvds ever made, to see that all we have to do is look at the tour diary of Gingers most recent outing.
