I'll start this off then. Just got back from the Brook in Southampton. My ears are ringing and I think one of my legs has given up the ghost. What can I say? THEY ROCKED!! :D

Ginger looked as happy as Larry, Scott looked like he'd been there since the beginning, Ritch was grinning maniacally throughout and CJ looked a lot better than he does on the new album cover ( so said my wife)

Setlist you say? As far as I can remember it went something like:

Vanilla Radio
Caffeine Bomb
TV Tan
Someone That Won't Let Me Go
Nexus Icon
The Revolution Will Be Televised
Top of the World
Everlone
Sick Of Drugs
Stormy in the North
The New Flesh
Suckerpunch
OCD
Headfuck
-----------------------------
Rooting for the Bad Guy
I Wanna Go

That's not the exact order but i'll leave it to some pedant to correct me.(thats what the web is all about) Surprised there was no The Sweetest Song and 29X the Pain.

The new songs sound fantastic. Rooting is huge! Ginger said the New Flesh should be out in May possibly.

Merch wise, several t-shirts. One with the album cover, one that had a shield with the smileybones (think it looked similar to Vinyl Junkie One),One with a bloke with a radio for a head. All£10. Poster of album cover signed by the band for a fiver. Think there were some hoodies as well. Lots of free beermats advertising CJs album out June 11th.

All in all a fantastic night. Now i'm off for a shower cos I fuckin' stink.

Hmm interesting to see only 3 new songs into the set. Also quite suprised to see 6 songs from the last reformation.

No major suprises in there though , as I did think this tour was basically gonna be a best of/new material tour.

Roll on Cardiff :)

Wow, that's not a setlist that you would expect for the promo of the new album.
Then again - the new songs must be hard to play live. You UK guys are lucky, still.
I wish they'd come over to Germany.

Speaking of: would anybody out there be so kind to fetch me a t-shirt with the new album cover in size XL? I can pay with PAYPAL, no prob. Shipping costs, too, of course. I can even throw in some goodies from my own band if you want. ;)

Send me a PM if you can and we'll work it out.

THANKS!

PS. "Nexus Icon"??? Purrr-lease! Why do they play *that*?

Yeah it was a top night in Soton. The only disappointments were:

1) Only 3 new songs... for once, I actually want the new songs to push out the old ones cos the new album is so ace.
2) The T shirts were a bit rubbish, though I still bought one anyway.
3) My ears are still ringing!

Everything else was ace. The band were sickeningly tight and they looked like they were having an even better time than the audience.
In an ideal world there'd be no time for ideals.

Shame there's no Caprice or Sweetest Song (that seemed like a great live song to me). Not sure I will ever 'get' OCD either (in both senses) and not a big fan of Stormy

But sure it will still be a great tour and you can't please all of the people all the time and still some great songs in there too

It's funny how peoples opinions differ wildly. I love OCD and live it was fantastic as was Nexus Icon which Ginger did introduce as from the album nobody likes. I thought they were going to play Urge for a moment.

He also had a pop at Kerrang for their review. He said they weren't going to play "Because of you" because it didn't exist.

Forgot to mention the support bands both of whom I really enjoyed. GU Medicine had some really nice tshirts, whilst Sign had some ladies pants for sale.

Who are these fools? I LOVE "...Must Be Destroyed". Bands should try and vary it. Last album was very poppy, this one's a riffmonster. Both are ace. Variety is the spice of life.

Yeah, well... it never did the trick for me, but hey - I'd be happy to see them playing live *at all*.

Just realised, I was really hoping for atleast 1 EN track to be played, especially after his mentioning of Urge in the latest ask ginger! Och, maybe I'll get to the front and yell it out at the glasgow gig!
