Eureka Machines album three - PledgeMusic

Postby Damian » 25th Oct 12, 20:47

Following on from Jon Poole's PledgeMusic campaign that started last week, Eureka Machines have just launched their own! Here's the link:

http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/eurekamachines

First and foremost, you can preorder album three. But then there's a couple of T-shirt designs, some framed lyrics and... you can get them to write a song for you. Anything. Acoustic or electric. Your choice of lyrics, a cover version, whatever.

10% of all proceeds are going straight to Tim Smith of Cardiacs to help with his much needed healthcare provision - I'm sure his situation needs no explaining to anyone on here, but if it does, there's a link on the Pledge page.

Oh, and they've got a spanking new website as well, which will have more stuff added over the coming days and weeks:

Enjoy!

Oh, and...

You'll get a ton of other stuff too. A free acoustic album. Live online shows. Some free tunes that weren't finished in time for the last album's release. Some amusing videos. And as long as the people that pay to get a tune written give permission, you'll get those too.

Ace, in other words.

And if you enjoyed that, you might enjoy this - a full 1 hour live set, filmed at Darlington Forum this Saturday. Footage is from the back by the sound desk, and audio is pretty damn good for a YouTube video. Features a couple of new songs, a mild smattering of naughty words (so NSFW ish) and a brilliant special encore.

Bizarrely, I am actually watching that video now. I think the song they do at about 40 mins in is my favourite thing they have done.

Yeah, that's 'The One Who Wouldn’t Change You' from the first album but before that at 0:40 there's a minute or so of a new song which is currently tagged on as an intro but will be on the next LP.

This is all going rather well. If you want one of their Christmas cards (£10, specially photographed band shot (in Christmas jumpers), signed by the band, best of CD-R as an introduction for your friend, and a download of album 3 when it's finished), you've got until Wednesday to get it for that someone special in time for Christmas.

A new song from the album - 'None Of The Above' - can now be heard here, with a ceefax-style video:

The pledge is over 400% now which is brilliant going but there's still time to pledge for some exclusives:
