The Darkness are back!

Postby neiljunkster » 16th Mar 11, 13:17

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet. The Darkness have officialy announced their return with their first gig being at Download festival on Friday 10th June. Their currently working on a new album and a tour is in the pipeline. Any one excited? I thought they got a lot of stick for being a bit too OTT but are still a cracking band. Good musicians/song writters and a great live show! Looking forward to the new album and fingers crossed for Newcastle Arena later in the year.

Cracking live band that were a victim of the Man's hype machine - way more fun than the Stone Gods, who plodded along off the back of one decent song - Burn the Witch was it? Not that I'm trying to be provactive mind...

I found out why The Darkness has gone so bad. Instead of their original, organic humor, they are now industry inside formulated music for pea-brains. It's a demographic puppet band. So, apparently, the inside non-music businesspeople think all their worth is dumb women. :dur:

Stone Gods actually have more of a chance to make it. They're a decent metal group with potential. I like their Download 2009(?) videos.

Rumour has it that Justin Hawkins is now bein controlled by the guy who does Fozzy Bear in the muppets and Ed is being replaced by Doc Croc from Round the Bend.
