Don’t mean to sound like a sourpuss but loads of us have already paid for this song (including every fan in Japan). Bit disappointed.

Genius track. Typical Wildhearts type sound which i’m really pleased about!! Thanks guys.
October 16th, 2009 at 12:29
@Wildie
I haven’t. And I’m not.
Cheers guys!
October 16th, 2009 at 12:30
Bloody love it! Thanks!
@Wildie – Why should fans in Japan get bigger better faster more?
October 16th, 2009 at 12:32
Bruce – they shouldn’t but the point I was making that they’d paid money for it (and myself to import it) when it’s now available for free.

[…] This post was mentioned on Twitter by The Wildhearts, Ian McShane. Ian McShane said: RT @TheWildhearts: ZEEN REQUIEM the new FREE TRACK is up now: http://is.gd/4mjJM Congratulations if you solved the puzzles and got it early! […]

@Wildie:
You got it first and have had weeks of listening pleasure out of it. Its like going to the cinema to see a new film first then its shown on TV 5 Christmases later – are you going to complain that you had to pay for it before?
October 16th, 2009 at 13:08
I didn’t want that to sound like complaining. I think it’s great the band giveaway loads for free. Just disappointed that the first annuoncement this week was for a new Wildhearts track when it wasn’t. I’ll hush now.

Always happy to get presents. There are SO many bands who just couldn’t care less about treating their fans to extras and freebies,it’s not like anyone’s being asked to pay for it again,is it?The question of who wants what tracks released is bound to be different for everyone, surely?I myself still can’t help thinking that I’m missing summat by owning an album called’Chutzpah’and not having the track’Chutzpah1′,but,then again, the title alone makes me wanna hear’Some days just fucking suck’and,by describing’Vernix’as”probably the most complicated song that we recorded”,I can’t wait to hear that either, but, the point is-We all know that it’s not this bands style to short-change their fans & never has bin-maybe you won’t already own the next one,eh?Incidently,I DO already have ZEEN REQUIEM,but I’m STILL blowin my speakers up pretty regulaly with the last free download from the Chutzpah sessions(“You crazy fuckin’Bastard”is a line that still has me smiling from ear to ear….).
October 16th, 2009 at 13:47
Cheers guys! Looking forward to listening to it
October 16th, 2009 at 14:29
Cheers! What a great song! Thanks for making it available in the UK!
October 16th, 2009 at 14:36
For me they’re not ripping people off, I would be a little miffed if I had paid for the import, but I just waited to see what was going to happen with them.
October 16th, 2009 at 15:08
Have I missed something, why is it numbered as track 12??
October 16th, 2009 at 15:09
actaully ignore me, I forgot all about “the snake, the lion…etc” which I had sitting on my hard drive all this while!!
October 16th, 2009 at 18:26
As I recall, it was made plain before the release of the Japanese version that the extra tracks would all soon be made available in the UK.
Anyway, another Wildhearts great.
October 16th, 2009 at 19:19
great tune guys! will we be also getting any of the other tracks that were recorded in the chutzpah! sessions? that arent on either the UK release or the Japan release? ; )
October 16th, 2009 at 19:41
Great song. I love that you guys always have something for the fans. And as with pretty much every bside or extra track from the Wildhearts this is all kick ass and no Filler!

I understand the comments from Bruce. I’ve bought the UK and Japanese releases of the album. Not moaning though I think the band really look after us with quality free material, no fillers or throw-aways in sight. No for those who don’t have them already check out the other two from Japanese release, People Who Died has me rocking like a bastard.
I’m now looking to see when the other tracks will see the light of day. I’m hoping for a single – physical release would be nice with 3 B-Sides like the old days. Bring it on.
October 17th, 2009 at 11:05
Sorry mean’t other three tracks from the Japanese release – forgot about Chutzpah Jr as it kicks the whole thing off in true style.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:57
Another cool song. Picked me up up a shitty day (fuck you very much, 20 C Fox). Thanks for turning it around for me, guys!

I sort of agree with Mr Wildie. You know, he managed to get this Japanese version in order to have chance to have a listen to extra tracks. It’s quite natural that such guys feel a bit of disappointed, or sad, isn’t it ? I would feel the same. We, fans, feel happy if we feel special…
On the otherhand, we must also view in the band’s standpoint. They would like as many fans as possible to listen to new songs and get happy.
For such, internate is the most effective.
Intentions, feelings of fans & the band do not match in some cases. But after all we bloody loves WiLDHEARTS. Loves much, thus ask much. Or the band let us ask much !!
Lastly, as a fan in Japan, I sometimes feel sorry for fans in UK. Like the concerned case, we can enjoy 4 bonus tracks in Japanese version of CHUTZPAH. Why we can while those in hometown can’t….? Sorry !!!
The band was brought up by you fans in UK. However, at the same time, of course, we can’t feel happier with the extra songs cause, as all of us know, WiLDHEARTS extra are of the same (or sometimes better ?) quality.
First time heard the ‘HEARTS at 16, knocked out by Turning American, and now still blown away at 33 by Jackson Whites, You took the sunshine from
New York. Sincerely hope I’d be kept blown away
at 40 & even at 50 (60,70…..)

Someone above mentioned that they are a bit annoyed that they had paid for this song already.
Does it REALLY matter that you paid a couple of quid for gods sake, a price of a pint of lager, and you have the song anyways, and you got it before us, and etc etc etc so stop bloody moaning and enjoy the wildhearts as they are just getting better and better.
I hate moaning ole gits
